The GLC-Class Mercedes-Benz was introduced in 2016. This small, luxury crossover has set the standard for the segment for luxury, looks, and drive quality. Standard equipment is plentiful and options are all packaged nicely to add even more. The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC sees several improvements for the model year. These include the latest MBUX infotainment system, more power for the four-cylinder engine option, and more electric range for the plug-in hybrid version. The 2020 GLC comes in four models, each denoting a different powertrain and options. Each option has several upgrade options to add to the base equipment. The base GLC 300 starts it off while the AMG variants in the GLC 43 and GLC 63 upgrade to add more dynamism and luxury to the mix. Finally, the GLC 350e adds extreme fuel efficiency to the mix as the plug-in hybrid model for the crossover. The Mercedes-Benz GLC is a small, luxury crossover that seats five. All-wheel drive is standard in all but the base model GLC.

One of the reasons to buy a truck is to have the potential for towing, after all, and it’s integral to their design. Our list here will include towing capacities as both a maximum towing capacity if the truck is configured for that and an average for the rest of the models in the pickup’s options. For example, the single cab with a diesel engine is not likely to have as much towing capacity as is the double cab with the larger V8 gasoline engine.

The legendary status of these cars has meant there is a fair amount of misinformation and consumer confusion when it comes to which is a better fit for one’s needs. After spending the morning with FOX Shocks in Dacono, Colorado at the IMI Motorsports Complex, we learned from the seat of our pants about the importance of shock absorbers. Through course runs in a stock Jeep followed by three more vehicles with varying degrees of shock absorber upgrades, we tuned our “Butt Dyno” to feel the difference between everyday and professional level equipment.

The Dodge Durango is one of the most recognizable sport utilities on the road. As one of the original crossover-SUVs on the market, the Durango made its name for its combination of muscular good looks and powertrain options to back up those looks. Today, the Durango sees a few updates meant to give it a more aggressive exterior, a few interior tweaks for ergonomics, and some added tech.

Toyota’s largest car has received some upgrades this year, all of which are great to see. The Avalon is Toyota’s full-sized sedan, sitting above the Camry as the top-end of Toyota’s lineup of cars. The current generation was introduced in 2019, keeping all of the things that made the Avalon a favorite. For the 2021 model year, though, the Toyota Avalon is getting some much-needed updates.

When Hyundai announced it was spinning off its Genesis sedan into a full luxury brand, there were doubts about how realistic that goal could be. Now, with the release of the Genesis brand’s second vehicle – the midsized GV80 crossover – it’s clear that Hyundai can, in fact, do luxury and do it well.

The Venza didn’t do well in its first iteration, so Toyota dropped it and rethought this crossover-SUV. Now it’s less a Subaru copycat and more a well-sized, well-considered, sporty-looking crossover. The hybrid model, in particular, is very well done and by far the best of the lot. Check it out.

The QX55 debuts as a new variant on the QX50 crossover from Infiniti, changing the body styling to a more coupe-like slope and getting standard features like all-wheel drive and beautiful 20-inch wheels. Where other automakers like Audi and Mercedes use terms like “Sportback” and “Coupe” to create these sporty fastback models from more traditional SUV designs in their lineup, Infiniti decided to give the QX55 its own model name and avoid the confusion.

The new generation BMW 3 Series appeared about two years ago, but was noticeably without any electrified options. Bimmer has fixed that this year by adding the 330e, which combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with an electric motor for a total combined output of 288 horsepower. For those counting, that’s 30 more than the 330i model has.

Nissan has unveiled the seventh generation of the Z car, which drops the numerical prefix in the US for the first time to be simply known as the “Z.” The Nissan Z packs a twin-turbo V6 providing an increase in power output, and is described by the automaker as “the pure expression of thrill.”
