FIRST Type your text. Select text. Click path> object to path Click path> combine. Right click text and select Ungroup. SECOND Draw shape and node edit, then “click on canvas to deselect shape.” THIRD Select text, shift select shape. Run Bezier Envelope, if it doesn’t work, select OK then delete shape and redraw. No need to change text.
